Sunday: Achart briefing is held at the MOD Café, in the marina. Information will be given on the route for the flotillaand general "dos and don'ts".
Kapı Creek (12nm) is a lovely, well-sheltered bay in a fabulous location, with a restaurant that serves delicious food. It is one of the many beautiful bays in the Fethiye Gulf, which can only be reached from the sea. Ancient ruins are about one hour walking away.
Monday: Ciftlik (36nm) Sandy beach. Moor on the jetty of Rafet Baba restaurant. A nice restaurant, and also a good, small supermarket.
Tuesday: Bozukkale (17nm) Ali Baba Restaurant. This is a unique bay with ruins from ancient Loryma scattered around. This restaurant can only be reached by boat and it is only a short hike up to the citadel ruins.
(Bozukkale means 2broken castle" in Turkish). There is also a floating shop here with handicrafts for sale.
Wednesday: Dirsek (13 nm) is a stunning bay, only reachable by boat, with no facilities other than the sole restaurant, famous for its jumbo prawns fried with garlic, and other delicious seafood. It is the perfect spot for swimming in the phosphorescent waters or watching the stars at night after dinner.
Thursday: Datça (15 nm) This is a lively but unpretentious port town and offers a good opportunity to catch up with your shopping.
Friday: Sailors’ Paradise (16 nm) As the name suggests, this is a picture-postcard location. A wonderfully quaint stone-built restaurant offers delicious food and is run by a friendly team of locals. This is a destination only reachable by boat.
Saturday: Selimiye (7 nm) Aurora Restaurant. This is a picturesque fishing village, set in a large bay and surrounded by hills covered in thickly wooded pineforest. (Harbour fees)
Sunday: Soğut (17 nm) Octopus Restaurant. This is a breathtakingly beautiful location. Take a mask and snorkel, as within swimming range of the restaurant's small beach you can see ancient amphorae lying on the seabed, although please don’t touch!
(NB It is strictly prohibited to take antiquities out of Turkey).
Monday: Serçe (16 nm) This bay cuts deeply into the land and offers a perfect anchorage.
Tuesday: Ekincık (30 nm) From here you can make a very interesting excursion to the turtle beach, the ruins of Caunos, the rock tombs in the little town of Dalyan and mud baths.
Wednesday: Aşı Koyu (8 nm) This is at the mid-point between Marmaris and Göcek. Good restaurant but no telephone or Wi-Fi connection due to the high mountains surrounding the bay. The owners of the restaurant have a satellite phone in case of emergency
Thursday: Sarsala (23 nm) One of our favourite bays in the Fethiye Gulf with a good jetty with moorings. Climb the hill for a wonderful view over the gulf.
Friday: Fethiye (13nm) Return to Fethiye Ece Marina. In the evening enjoy dinner in a pleasant restaurant in the bazaar.
NB It is best to bring cash with you, as there are no cash machines en-route. A rough guide per couple is 600-650TL per evening meal (two meals including meze starter, a bottle of wine, water and a few beers). The more you drink the higher the bill. Eg Leona wine 200-250TL per bottle, beer 45-50TL, main meal 200-250TL per person.
The weather can be very hot so itis a good idea to bring a rehydration formula (eg Berocca) with you, as the pharmacy closest to the marina may not be open.
Flotilla routes can be subject to change at the discretion of the flotilla leadersand depending on weather etc
